Spat from the fish's mouth : a journey from reluctance to assurance

What does it mean to understand oneself to be a beloved child of God? Can preaching help uncover this identity? This thesis project explores how a reluctant preacher was called into ministry and discovered her identity along the journey. In particular, this project aspires to explore the preaching in one particular church, Christ United Church of Christ in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and how that church family helped their preacher understand her role as a beloved child of God through the preaching the Word.
