This thesis shows the importance ofpreaching to seekers by focusing on the most important Seeker, God. Through personal study, conversations with people in the church, and biblical material, I have attempted to understand the characteristics of the postmodem seeker. The homiletical response to the seeker will then focus upon the biblical story that God is the most important seeker. The implication ofmy work is that preaching needs to focus on preaching styles that are didactic, narrative, and a combination ofboth so that seekers might come to know the biblical witness that declares God is seeking after us all.
