The purpose of this thesis project is to discover how preaching, teaching, and leading can be used to solve conflicts in Chin congregations in Indianapolis. This project uses Osmer’s practical theology to examine the current situation of these Chin congregations and proposes the five conceptual frameworks for preaching, teaching, and leading: adaptive leadership, interpretive leadership, missional ecclesiology, religion and ethnicity, and open systems theory. The project uses these five concepts to develop a healthier spiritual leadership among Chin church leaders. It also introduces the benefits of preaching the right message in the right way at the right time. Preaching, teaching, and leading, based upon on these five concepts, can change the perspective of the Chin church membership in Indianapolis and help create a greater sense of church and congregational unity in spirit.
