"They ate together with joy and simplicity of heart" (Acts 2:46). This is the challenge of the ministerial pastoral ministry of the church in Winston Salem; uniting immigrants under the ideals of the gospel and social integration. The United States of America is a country where every day Hispanic immigrants are seen as men and women who have become part of this great nation. The immigrants who live in this country are one of the poorest and most marginalized sectors of society in North America. This condition limits them being able to get work, and some, to continue with their studies to be able to help their families and live a more dignified life. On the other hand, some of the immigrants who meet in a church, today when coming to this country, they do not find a place to continue cultivating their faith and to keep their family within the ways of God. When they find a place (a church), then they realize that they are not properly assimilated because of their culture or social condition. Either way, they remain on the sidelines in any church where they meet. This is one of the great challenges that immigrants face in this country. For this reason, with the help of the thesis advisers, we are describing the condition of the immigrants, and how the church in Winston Salem, intends to face this problem. With this project we intend to achieve a change in the ministerial ministry of the church in favor of immigrants, through a new model, where the church responds biblically and theologically; in order to integrate the vision of the church to Hispanics hoping that the example of the Winston Salem church will serve as a model for other churches in the area and beyond this city.
