Mayo African Methodist Episcopal Church (Mayo) is called to encourage life transformation and equip believers for indigenous works of serve in their communities. The way that Mayo should live out its faith is by instructing and encouraging its membership on how to live in service to God. However, every church has a history that is filled with the bones of past failures and successes. The determining factor for any believer is what do you do with the bones? Do you leave them in the closet or do you examine them, make adjustments and move forward. These are some of the questions I have attempted to answer throughout this paper. I started, in the Situation section, by naming the problem I wanted to address and used Mayo as my model. I told that the problem is that many Christians become complacent with their involvement, silent with their voice and are content in their drifting around from one year to the next, never drawing on their spiritual gifts, developing their ministry or purpose, nor discovering their unique God-given call. It is in the call that we find our purpose. I talked about what I believe to be Mayo’s concept and understanding of church is: i.e., Doing verses Being. Here I discussed the fundamentals of living out God’s Kingdom, that Kingdom living is a lifestyle not a life choice. Through the Research I told how you experience success only when you get the right people on the bus. My interventions share what I believe to be solutions for moving a people to kingdom living.
