The need for constant transformation is critical to the vitality of a local body of believers. All a person has to do is walk down familiar streets and visit frequented places and the effects of change are ever present. By the simple fact that communities and the cultures that evolve within them are in constant motion, it is necessary that the church must also be in constant motion and evolution to meet the needs of the changing community. This notion cannot find anchor in any one person’s agenda or any personal preference in a worship experience or ministry outreach, but rather this notion becomes more about the existence and impact of the ministry in current context. Preaching can and must be the catalyst in providing direction to accommodate congregational transformation. This project is to be a project on facilitating congregational transformation through preaching. It is a project focused on transformational preaching. It is a project that will focus on formulation of strategies for congregational change during sermon formation. The project will include three stages of preaching summaries designed to guide a congregation into establishing a new congregational identity.
