I am studying what motivates a person to give of their time, talent and treasure to their church because I want to find out whether year round stewardship education is one of these factors. I believe the practice of stewardship education is often neglected within the church. Biblically and theologically stewardship is one of the most essential disciplines needed for the vitality of the church. I have implemented a year-round program called Worship+2 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church. This program is a simple and effective way to emphasize the need for people to give of their time and talent in service. I believe our Worship+2 ministries at New Philadelphia Moravian Church have proven that stewards can be formed through intentional education on stewardship. This thesis will share in detail how Worship+2 originated, the biblical foundation from which this ministry was inspired and its effect upon stewardship and our ministry at New Philadelphia Moravian Church.
